Me learning to play, about 8 years old (scroll down for more recent videos and audio)

I have been playing piano for 8 years now, and I love every second of it. I began taking piano lessons in 4th grade, and my parents have supported me as I've become more proficient. During COVID I was able to focus deeply on music, and now I play whenever I can, in between studying, running cross country, weightlifting, and caring for my aquariums. I've been able to play out at a local restaurant, which has helped me to become comfortable playing in public. I've also played for school functions and fundraisers. Music relaxes me, and I find that composing is also something that helps me to express myself. Some of my favorite genres are classic rock, progressive rock, blues, and jazz.

The pieces below that are my own compositions (noted) reflect moods and times that are meaningful to me. Additionally, original lyrics and other accompaniments are also part of these pieces, though to showcase my piano playing here I did not include them.
